Aushires Rentals’ commitment to protecting people, the environment and the communities we work in.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline Aushires Rentals’ commitment to care, safety and zero harm across all areas of the business.

Aushires Rentals believes no task is so important that it should place people, the environment, equipment or the community at unacceptable risk.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, labour hire personnel, customers, visitors and representatives involved in Aushires Rentals operations, including depots, workshops, transport activities, customer sites and events.

Policy Statement

Aushires Rentals is committed to building a culture where safety, care and environmental responsibility are part of everyday decision-making.

Our objective is zero harm to people, zero preventable harm to the environment, and continuous improvement in the way we plan, deliver and support hire operations.

Core Principles

  • All incidents and injuries can be prevented through planning, leadership, training and safe work practices.
  • No job is so urgent that it cannot be completed safely.
  • Work health and safety is a core operating requirement, not a separate activity.
  • Environmental harm should be prevented through responsible work practices and effective controls.
  • Everyone has the authority and responsibility to stop unsafe work.

Management Commitments

  • Promote a positive safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, customer and site requirements.
  • Identify hazards and implement controls to reduce risk so far as reasonably practicable.
  • Provide equipment, information, instruction and supervision needed to work safely.
  • Respond to incidents, hazards and near misses with corrective action and learning.

Worker and Contractor Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work procedures and lawful directions.
  • Use plant, vehicles, tools and PPE correctly.
  • Report hazards, incidents, near misses and unsafe behaviour promptly.
  • Take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.
  • Protect equipment, the environment and the community while performing work.

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains aligned with operational risk, legal obligations and Aushires Rentals’ commitment to care and zero harm.
