Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish the standards of behaviour, professionalism and integrity expected of all individuals representing Aushires Rentals.
This policy is intended to promote a safe, respectful, professional and accountable workplace culture across all areas of the business.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors and labour hire personnel, managers and supervisors, visitors and representatives acting on behalf of Aushires Rentals. It applies across depots and workshops, customer sites, offices, company vehicles, work-related travel, digital communications and social media.

Professional Conduct
Employees must behave professionally and respectfully toward colleagues, customers, suppliers and the public, maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, communicate appropriately and professionally, carry out duties responsibly and competently, and follow lawful and reasonable directions from management. Employees must not engage in behaviour that damages the company’s reputation, creates conflict or disruption, or brings the business into disrepute.
Workplace Behaviour
All individuals must be treated fairly and with respect.
- Bullying or harassment.
- Discrimination.
- Aggressive or threatening behaviour.
- Offensive language or abusive conduct.
- Dishonesty or misconduct.
- Inappropriate workplace behaviour.
Safety and Compliance
Employees must follow all Work Health and Safety requirements, use equipment and vehicles safely, wear required uniforms and PPE, report hazards, incidents and unsafe behaviour immediately, and present fit for work at all times. Safety is a core requirement of employment.
Use of Company Property
Employees must use company property responsibly, protect company equipment, vehicles and assets, and avoid misuse, damage or unauthorised use. Company property must only be used for approved business purposes unless otherwise authorised.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Employees must protect confidential company information, respect employee and customer privacy, and not disclose sensitive information without authorisation. Confidentiality obligations continue after employment ends.
Drug and Alcohol
Employees must present fit for work, comply with the Drug and Alcohol Policy, and not attend work under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A zero-tolerance approach applies to impairment in safety-critical environments.
Attendance and Reliability
Employees are expected to attend work reliably and punctually, follow leave and notification procedures, and perform duties responsibly. Unauthorised absences or repeated lateness may result in disciplinary action.
Conflict of Interest
Employees must act in the best interests of Aushires Rentals, avoid conflicts between personal interests and business duties, and disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest.
Compliance with Laws and Policies
Employees must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, company policies and procedures, and site-specific requirements. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.
Reporting Misconduct
Employees are encouraged to report unsafe behaviour, policy breaches, misconduct, and illegal or unethical behaviour to a Supervisor or Manager, or the Director. Reports will be handled fairly and confidentially where reasonably practicable.
Breach of Policy
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in counselling, formal warnings, removal from site or duties, disciplinary action, or termination of employment. Serious breaches may be treated as serious misconduct.
Responsibilities
Employees must comply with this policy, maintain professional standards and represent the business positively.
Managers and supervisors must lead by example, enforce workplace standards and address misconduct promptly.
The Director is responsible for oversight of workplace conduct standards, final authority on disciplinary matters and ensuring policy implementation.

Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with legal requirements and business operations.
Social Media and Public Representation
Employees must not make negative public comments about Aushires Rentals, share confidential business information online, or post content that damages the company’s reputation. Where employees can be identified as representing Aushires Rentals, they must conduct themselves professionally at all times.
